Cloudburst in Uttarakhand wreaks havoc

Uttarkashi, Aug 09 (ANI): Heavy rainfall wreaked havoc in Uttarkashi district of Uttarakhand cutting-off villages, washing away roads and bridges at several places. Six people were rescued by the rescue team which was sent immediately to the site. One of the members of the rescue team, Ram Singh, said that the people were rescued by the method of river crossing and that the area was still under the threat of cloud burst. Five bridges have been damaged and many farms have been destroyed due to the cloudburst. Aug 9, 2014
