New Delhi, Oct 4 (ANI): Politicos reacted on Saturday after at least 33 people were killed and many others were injured in stampede that took place at Gandhi Maidan in Patna when people were returning from Dussehra celebrations. BJP leaders Sambit Patra said that the incident is painful and compensations have been announced by the central and the state government. Congress leader Rashid Alvi slammed the state government and said that had the administration taken proper steps, the incident would have not occurred. New Delhi, Oct 04 (ANI): Islamic State militants fighting in Iraq and Syria released a video which purported to show the beheading of a man identified as British citizen Alan Henning. The video showed a man in an orange jumpsuit kneeling in a landscape who was identified as Henning. The kneeling man in the video says, "Because of our parliament's decision to attack the Islamic State, I, as a member of the British public, will now pay the price for that decision,". A male voice then says, "The blood of David Haines was on your hands Cameron," in a reference to Britain's prime minister. "Alan Henning will also be slaughtered, but his blood is on the hands of the British parliament." Reacting on the same, Cameron vowed to bring the killers to justice. Oct 4, 2014

Agra, Oct 04 (ANI): A major fire broke out early on Saturday morning in the famed Lohar Gali area of Agra. Over 250 shops were gutted and several residential flats got damaged in the fire that broke out in a famous market in Agra city of Uttar Pradesh. Around eight fire brigade vans were called in to control the blaze that began at around 2:00 AM. Locals also raised the need for calling the military. SCI launches first shipping service to Myanmar

Chennai, Oct 04 (ANI): India launched its first shipping service to Myanmar connecting both the countries under the concept of 'look east' policy to boost bilateral ties. The shipping corporation of India (SCI) and the ministry of shipping have launched a direct service to Myanmar for the first time with the help of foreign ministry and commerce ministry. The fortnightly service was flagged off at Krishnapatnam Port, one of the fastest growing ports on the East Coast of India, after it sailed from Chennai late Friday. Secretary, Ministry Of Shipping, Vishwapati Trivedi said beyond commercial trade it will strengthen trade relationship between both countries. Patna, Oct 04 (ANI): At least 32 people were killed and manyothers injured in a major stampede in Patna city of Bihar during celebrations of Dussehra. The incident took place at Gandhi Maidan in Patna. Eyewitness's said that chaos was created after an electric wire fell on the ground. According to reports, most of the deceased are women and children. The injured were immediately rushed to Patna Medical College Hospital. District Magistrate, Manish Verma confirmed the death toll and said that the injured were under treatment in the hospital. Meanwhile, locals blamed the absence of any lighting at the venue for the accident and also the police who they alleged had kept two of the four exits closed for the VIP movement.
