Bijnor/ Patna, Oct 04 (ANI): Livestock prices across India jumped drastically over the last two weeks, despite assurances from authorities that there would not be any significant rise in prices. Prices of sacrificial animals go up every year ahead of Eid al-Adha, which will be celebrated on Monday across the country. Livestock prices have shoot up in Bijnor city and Patna city. Eid-al-Adha, also known as the Festival of Sacrifice, is a Muslim festival which commemorates the obedience of the prophet Ibrahim, who was willing to sacrifice his son when ordered to by God. Eid-al-Adha (Bakr-Eid) is a festival that many Muslims celebrate with special prayers, greetings and gifts.
