Prime Minister Modi to launch 'Swachh Bharat Mission' today

New Delhi, Oct 02 (ANI): The country is all set to witness a majestic launch of 'Swachh Bharat Mission' by Prime Minister Narendra Modi today on the occasion of 145th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi. Prime Minister began his day first by paying floral tributes to Father of the Nation, Mahatama Gandhi at Rajghat. He will also visit Vijay Ghat to pay homage to former Prime Minister Lal Bahadur Shastri whose birth anniversary coincides with Mahatma Gandhi. Anant Khasbardar of Kolhapur, Maharashtra, and Bhagyasri Sheth of Rajkot, Gujarat who won the contest for suggesting the logo and the tag line respectively for 'Swachh Bharat Mission', will also be felicitated by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi today.

Swedish soccer legend Ljungberg hopes to inspire youth in ISL

Mumbai, Oct 02 (ANI): Former Arsenal player and Swedish captain Freddie Ljungberg, who will be playing for Mumbai FC in Indian Super League (ISL), said that he wanted to inspire youngsters through his game. The attacking midfielder was a part of Arsenal's famed "Invincibles" who went unbeaten in winning the 2003-04 English title. Addressing mediapersons in Mumbai, Ljungberg said he wanted to train kids in football in a cricket-mad nation. He added that he was ready to help Indian players to enhance their soccer skills. The 37-year old said he was impressed by the commitment of the franchise owners and that it was a great start to the new project.

Tourism sector foresee boost as PM announces visa on arrival for American tourists

Tour guides and operators expect that this move would give a fillip to tourism industry in the state. During his US trip, which started from New York, Modi drew an especially loud cheer when he made a long-awaited announcement that those holding cards showing they were of Indian origin would be granted lifetime visas to India.
