Mumbai, Oct 28 (ANI): The Chief Minister Designate of Maharashtra Devendra Fadnavis on Tuesday thanked his party members after being elected unanimously as the representative of the party in the state. Fadnavis said that Eknath Khadse proposed his name before the party leadership and everybody supported his name. He also remembered late BJP leader Gopinath Munde saying that he had worked a lot for the development of Maharashtra. He then assured the people of Maharashtra that he will work towards development of the state.

Names of all black money account holders will be given to SC: Arun Jaitley

New Delhi, Oct 28 (ANI): Shortly after the Supreme Court asked the government to reveal all the names of Indians holding illegal bank accounts abroad by Wednesday, Finance Minister Arun Jaitley said that the government has no hesitation in submitting the names and would do so tomorrow. Jaitley also added that the Centre is not interested in protecting anybody. The Supreme Court had rapped the Centre for seeking modification of its order on black money on disclosing names of account holders in foreign banks.

SC directs govt to reveal names of all black money holders by tomorrow

New Delhi, Oct 28 (ANI): The Supreme Court on Tuesday directed the Central Government to disclose to it names of all black money holders by Wednesday. Lawyer Prashant Bhushan said that Centra had asked for modulations in law as they were unable to reveal some names due to double taxation avoidance agreement. He also said that Arvind Kejriwal had also filed an application asking government to reveal names of the three black money account holders who had themselves confessed it before Income Tax Department 2 years ago.

BSE closes points 127.92 up on Oct 28

New Delhi, Oct 28 (ANI): Trading at the Bombay Stock Exchange today closed 127.92 points up to stand at 26,880.82. At the National Stock Exchange the Nifty closed 35.90 points up to stand at 8,027.60. NCC and KAILASH were among the top gainers of Group A with an increase of 11.84% and 11.76% along with MANAPPURAM and RANBAXY with an increase of 9.98% and 6.11% respectively, while the top losers of Group A include PMCFIN and JUSTDIAL with a decrease of 7.92% and 5.88% along with LAKSHMI MACHINE WORKS LTD. and BEML with a decrease of 5.35% and 3.09% at the close of the markets. The Auto sector is up 59.39 points 17,942.43 while the banking sector is up 124.66 points at 19,073.55 and the reality sector is up 4.71 points at 1,437.00. The Indian currency is up 0.1% at Rs 61.36 per dollar.

Nithari Case: SC rejects Surinder Kolis plea for review of death sentence

New Delhi, Oct 28 (ANI): The Supreme Court on Tuesday dismissed Nithari Case convict Surinder Koli’s plea for review of death sentence. Lawyer Pinky Anand said that review petition was filed by the convict on the ground that his confession was under torture & not voluntary. She added that Court has found no merit thus stated his confessions were voluntary and dismissed the review petition.

Chhath Puja declared public holiday in Delhi

New Delhi, Oct 28 (ANI): Delhi government declared a public holiday on Wednesday on account of Chhath Puja and also issued a notification in this regard. All the government offices will be shut tomorrow in Delhi unlike last year when it was a restricted holiday. Will reply to LG if he invites for govt in Delhi, Sent notice to Kejriwal over false blames: BJP

New Delhi, Oct 28 (ANI): BJP's Delhi unit President Satish Upadhyay said on Tuesday that if the party gets an invitation from the Lieutenant Governor for government formation in Delhi they will give reply at the right time. Further he said that BJP has sent a legal notice to AAP Chief Arvind Kejriwal over false allegations made by him on BJP for horse trading. Kejriwal will have to give a legal reply to BJP's lawyer over the notice. Upadhyay also said that the violence in Trilokpuri has been effectively handled with the help of BJP workers and cooperation of police.
