Kolkata Student union calls for shutdown over alleged molestation of Jadavpur University student

Kolkata, Sep 18 (ANI): Four student unions in West Bengal called for a strike on Thursday and demanded resignation of Vice Chancellor of Jadavpur University over alleged molestation of a student in university hostel. Students also accused police of attacking and molesting girls while they were protesting against the alleged molestation of a fellow student in the university. The incident happened when students were demonstrating against molestation of the second year student of Jadavpur University in Kolkata. According to reports, the student was molested by few male students who dragged her inside the boy's hostel on August 28.
