New Delhi, Nov 7 (ANI): Defence Expert Praful Bakshi on Friday said that there is still hope under Narendra Modi government that good days will come for Indian Navy soon. The statement came after Navy's Torpedo Recovery Vessel (TRV) A-72 sank of the coast of Vishakhapatnam. He said that the accident may have taken place because of old parts and other unknown reasons. Indian Navy on full scale search operation after ship sank off Vizag coast: Captain DK Sharma

New Delhi, Nov 07 (ANI): Indian Navy Spokesperson Captain DK Sharma on Friday said that the navy is on a full scale search operation after the Indian Navy's torpedo recovery vessel (TRV) sank off the coast of Visakhapatnam at around 8:00 pm last night. He said that one sailor lost his life and four others went missing in the incident. The vessel was on a routine mission to recover practice torpedoes fired by fleet ships when she experienced flooding in one of her compartments. He claimed that at the time of the accident, there were 28 personnel on board. Sharma said that the prima facie reason as of now is the flooding of the engine room. Nov 7, 2014

Varanasi, Nov 7 (ANI): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday laid the foundation stone for a trade and craft facilitation centre for weavers in his home constituency Varanasi in Uttar Pradesh. Modi, who is on a two-day visit to the temple town Varanasi, arrived on Friday morning, where he is likely to firm up plans for its development of the city. With an aim to develop and promote handloom products of Varanasi this Trade Facilitation Centre and Crafts Museum is being established. Reportedly, the centre will be developed at the cost of rupees 500 million. Modi on the occasion said that after agriculture, it is textiles which generates maximum employment in the country and it needs technology upgradation to compete with the world. Navy torpedo recovery vessel sinks off Visakhapatnam harbour, rescue operation underway

Visakhapatnam, Nov 07 (ANI): Search and rescue operations are underway as a naval vessel sank outside the Visakhapatnam harbour. One navy personnel was killed and four went missing, while 23 personnel were rescued safely after the Torpedo Recovery Vessel (TRV) A-72 sank on Thursday. The vessel had 28 navy personnel on board. Naval ships and aircrafts including P8I, Dorniers, and Seaking 42 C with night vision capabilities have been deployed for the search and rescue operation. Modi is expected to adopt a village under the 'Saansad Adarsh Gram Yojana'. Jayapur village, 24 kilometres away from Varanasi, hopes to be picked and is prepping to receive the prime minister, who is scheduled to make a public address there. The villagers also held prayers ahead of Modi's visit and thanked him for choosing their village. Water tight security arrangements have been made. India to discuss black money issue at G20 Summit

New Delhi, Nov 07 (ANI): Prime Minister Narendra Modi to raise the issue of black money besides discussing the energy, security and IMF among others at the G20 Leaders' Summit in Brisbane next week. The G20 Leaders' Summit is scheduled to kick off on November 15-16 in Brisbane, Australia. Sherpa of the prime minister for the G20 summit, Suresh Prabhu told mediapersons in New Delhi about India's agenda during the summit. Prabhu said to deal with the issue of tax evaders and black money it would be interesting to have discussion on automatic exchange of information among the countries. G20 countries have committed to present policy measures at the Brisbane summit that will lift global growth by an additional 2 percent over five years. Prabhu said there should be more transparency in the global energy mix and it should include renewable and clean energy. Prabhu also said India would raise the issue of reforming the International Monetary Fund (IMF) at Brisbane summit. Prabhu added that during the summit India would also talk on infrastructure, employment generation, changing the cost of remittances and environment and climate change. Pakistan rejects India's conditions on dialogue process

Islamabad, Nov 07 (ANI): Pakistan rejected Indian Defence Minister's tough stance on dialogue, saying it does not accept conditions on composite dialogue with the arch rival. Answering a question about Arun Jaitley's statement that Pakistan had to decide whether they want to be in talks with the Indian government or the separatists, foreign ministry spokesperson Tasneem Aslam said dialogue with India is not a favour, but a necessity for peace and development in South Asia. A day earlier, Jaitley had drawn a "red line" and said Pakistan had to reconsider whether it wanted to speak to the Government of India or "to those who want to break India."
