TMC alleges BJP and CPI (M) hand in Burdwan blast

Kolkata/ New Delhi, Oct 06 (ANI): Trinamool Congress party alleged that the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and CPI (M) could be behind the bomb blast in Burdwan district during the popular Hindu festival of Durga Puja in West Bengal. Addressing media persons, TMC General Secretary Mukul Roy said the possibility of the BJP and CPI (M) leaders committing such crimes to disturb the peaceful situation in Bengal cannot be ruled out. Two women were arrested and remanded to police custody for two weeks on Sunday in connection with the explosion that left two suspected militants dead. The crime branch of West Bengal police is looking into the possible involvement of terror outfits like Lashkar-e-Toiba and Harkat-ul Jihadi al-Islami in the blast which left two suspected terrorists dead. BJP blames TMC for turning West Bengal into safe haven for militants

New Delhi, Oct 06 (ANI): Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) alleged that West Bengal's Trinamool Congress has turned the state into a safe haven for militants. BJP attacked the ruling Trinamool Congress (TMC) in West Bengal for the explosion in Khagragarh locality of Burdwan district on Thursday. BJP leader Siddharth Nath Singh said that under the leadership of Mamata Banerjee, the ruling TMC in the state, is giving refuge to anti national elements. According to reports, some suspected Indian Mujahideen (IM) terrorists were killed in the blast on Thursday in Burdwan area in West Bengal. Poonch, Oct 05 (ANI): As the soldier who died in a blast in Kashmir was laid to rest with full military honours on Sunday, senior officials of the Indian Army attending the funeral promised stern action against Pakistan. An improvised explosive device (IED) triggered by militants near the Line of Control (LoC) at the Balnoi battalion in Poonch district of Kashmir on Saturday killed one soldier and injured another. Both the soldiers were on patrol along the LoC in Balnoi sector when the IED blast injured both of them wherein soldier Akshaya Godbole succumbed to his injuries while Shubam Khadatkar was taken to hospital for treatment.
