Family cremates Indian fisherman who died in Pakistani jail

Diu, Sept 20 (ANI): The last rites of an Indian fisherman, who died in Pakistani jail, were performed at his village in Diu. The family came to know about the tragedy after receiving a letter from Pakistani government that however, didn't mention the cause of death. Sister of deceased fisherman Balubhai, urged the government to provide financial help to their family. The family also urged the Pakistani government to release his two brothers, who were also arrested along with him. Nuclear-armed neighbours share a vast un-demarcated coastal border and officials say fishermen on both sides ignore rules in search of fish, frequently stray into other country and end up spending years in their jails. Politicos react after CBI summons CPI (M) leader in Saradha scam probe

New Delhi / Ludhiana, Sep 20 (ANI): Politicos reacted on Saturday after Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) summoned CPI (M) leader Rabin Deb in connection with the multi-crore Saradha scam. BJP leader Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi said that common people have been looted in Saradha scam and whosoever is found guilty should be punished according to the law. Congress leader Manish Tewari said that the matter is under investigation and we should wait for it to conclude. NCP leader Majid Memon said that Rabin Deb should assist CBI in the investigation and provide all knowledge that he has. New Delhi, Sept 20 (ANI): Bangladesh foreign minister Abul Hassan Mahmood Ali, on a visit to New Delhi to attend the 3rd meeting of the India Bangladesh Joint Consultative Commission, invited Prime Minister Narendra Modi on behalf of PM Sheikh Hasina as he recalled the historical, cultural and economic links between the two neighbouring nations. Ali also expressed the hope of further strengthening and deepening relations with India. Foreign Minister Ali extended an invitation on behalf of Prime Minister, Sheikh Hasina, to Modi to visit Bangladesh. Shiv Sena, BJP seat-sharing row: Deadlock continues

Mumbai, Sept 20 (ANI): President of Maharashtra unit of BJP, Devendra Fadnavis, ruled out breaking of alliance and said that the party has given proposal to Shiv Sena over seat sharing for the upcoming polls. As per the earlier reports, Shiv Sena had asked BJP to contest on 199 seats out of 288, if it wanted to continue the alliance. However, the BJP did not accept it, adding it will contest on all 288 seats and break the alliance with right-wing party. Nagaland's taekwondo team makes India proud at an event in South Korea

Nagaland, Sep 20 (ANI): These youngsters from Nagaland have made India proud. In the recently held World Taekwon-do Hanmadang 2014 event in South Korea, the 20-member team has bagged several awards. The team from Faith-in-Action taekwondo academy emerged as the world champions in the Team Aerobic Competition and became the 1st team from India to win an international team event after 40 years. The team that represented India under the banner of Taekwondo board of India won gold in team event, 1 individual gold and silver medal each in Long Kick and 10 bronze medals.
