Kochi, Dec 07 (ANI): Visitors made a beeline towards the makeshift tents of the 11th edition of the annual 'Kerala Bamboo Fest' which displayed artisans' innovativeness while propagating the use of the 'green wood' in Kochi. Craftsmen from various Indian states arrived in the five-day bamboo festival to propagate the use of bamboo and bamboo-made products in order to spread awareness regarding the use of eco friendly products in daily life. Managing Director of Kerala State Bamboo Co-operation, T Sukumaran Nair, said that the fest aims to make eco-friendly things and prevent deforestation. The annual event is being organised by the Kerala State Bamboo Mission. The fest displays various artifacts and furniture made of pure and treated bamboo and wall mounting art works which are also on sale.
