Congress targets West Bengal CM over Saradha scam

Kolkata, Dec 16 (ANI): Congress party staged a protest against West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee after one of her ministers was arrested for his role in Saradha scam. Transport minister of West Bengal, Madan Mitra was arrested by CBI on December 12. Protesting Congress workers demanded immediate summon of Banerjee by CBI. Meanwhile, TMC leaders took out a mass rally against the arrest of their minister as they shouted slogans against Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led government. TMC leader Javed Khan blamed Modi-led BJP of using federal probe agency to their advantage. On November 21, CBI had arrested TMC lawmaker Srinjoy Bose in connection with the scam. Dec 16, 2014

Christmas cake show delights visitors in Coimbatore

Coimbatore, Dec 16 (ANI): People of Coimbatore city in Tamil Nadu were delighted to see different varieties of cakes during a 15-day Christmas cake show. The show, which began on Sunday, attracted people, especially children, to buy cakes in shapes of Barbie Dolls, Santa Claus, Baby Jesus, cartoon characters, animals in the jungle, etc. He added that it took them 15 days to design the cakes and the show will continue till New Year. A visitor Balaji, who came with his child to buy a cake, said he felt excited to see unique cakes.
