A Nepalese woman was allegedly gang-raped by three people in New Delhi this week, making it the 11th such crime that has come to light in a month. One of the accused was arrested on Wednesday, and the search to nab the other two suspects is still on.

The accused, a man named Yogesh, is said to have lured the 22-year-old woman on the pretext of getting her a job. The police said Yogesh called the victim near a sweet shop on Monday, and then took her to his flat where his friends Amit and Sahil were already present.

Claiming they were celebrating Amit's birthday, the three men forced the victim to drink alcohol and then raped her. She, however, managed to escape and then filed a complaint with the police. She was sent for medical examination and an FIR was registered.
