BSE closes points 183.67 up on Jan 9

New Delhi, Jan 9 (ANI): Trading at the Bombay Stock Exchange today closed 183.67 points up to stand at 27,458.38. At the National Stock Exchange the Nifty closed 49.90 points up to stand at 8,284.50. VIDEOCON INDUSTRIES LTD and PIPAVAVDOC were among the top gainers of Group A with an increase of 19.99% and 7.69% along with Edelweiss Financial Services Ltd. and HINDUSTAN UNILEVER LTD with an increase of 5.96% and 5.94% respectively, while the top losers of Group A include PMCFIN and ASHOK LEYLAND LTD with a decrease of 4.98% and 3.85% along with NTPC and DLF with a decrease of 3.31% and 3.26% at the close of the markets. The Auto sector is down 6.34 points at 18,835.27 while the banking sector is down 67.25 points at 21,346.24 and the reality sector is down 21.55 points at 1,531.95.
