AAP MLAs allege BJP offered them money to join their party

New Delhi, June 18 (ANI): Aam Aadmi Party MLAs have alleged that they have been contacted by BJP and asked to break away from the party and help the BJP form the government in Delhi. Five AAP MLAs said that they had been promised financial incentives for breaking away from the party. New Delhi, June 18 (ANI): Political leaders on Wednesday reacted over reports that the BJP might form government in Delhi before Parliament opens for the budget session in the second week of July. However, in between all of it, few AAP MLAs have stated that they were offered money by the BJP to quit their party and join BJP and help them form government in Delhi. Yashwant Sinha granted bail by Jharkhand court

Hazaribagh, June 18 (ANI): Senior BJP leader Yashwant Sinha on Wednesday was granted bail by a Jharkhand court, days after he was arrested for leading a demonstration against the poor power conditions in the state. He was arrested on June 2 and was sent to judicial custody after he refused to furnish a bail bond. Sinha applied for bail, a day after senior BJP leader LK Advani on Tuesday met him in Hazaribagh jail. After meeting Sinha, Advani had felt the latter should play a bigger role in the state. As many as 300 workers were taken into custody along with Sinha for allegedly assaulting Jharkhand State Electricity Board official over a power crisis issue in the state. Jun 18, 2014

India reintroduces onion export price to help curb inflation

New Delhi/Chandigarh, June 18 (ANI): India on Tuesday set a minimum export price for onions of $300 per tonne to discourage overseas shipments amid an inflation scare that threatens to stoke public anger over rising prices at local food markets. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has made tackling inflation as his top priority after widespread resentment about rising prices contributed to the exit of the previous government last month. After wholesale price inflation accelerated to a five-month high in May, the new government imposed the price rule on onions three months after the previous administration withdrew it. After a meeting with the representatives of various ministries on Tuesday, he said certain measures have been advised to the states to crackdown on hoarders.
