Police inaction provokes gang raped teen to consume poison in Bijnor

Bijnor, Feb 23 (ANI): After sitting on a hunger strike for days against police's failure to arrest the four men who allegedly gang raped her, an 18-year-old girl attempted to commit suicide by consuming poison in Bijnor district of Uttar Pradesh. The victim’s mother alleged that her daughter was forced to take this extreme step as no action was taken after the complaint was filed with the police.
