New Delhi, Sep 29 (ANI): Political reactions flowed after Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the gathering of Indian Diaspora at Madison Square Garden in New York. Congress leader Rashid Alvi said that there was nothing new in Modi's speech as he highlighted the same points which he does in India. Congress' Rajiv Shukla welcomed the new announcements which he made as the Prime Minister for Indian community in America. Meanwhile, BJP leader JP Nadda said that Prime Minister Modi's speech was inspirational for not only India but for the entire world. Mumbai/ New Delhi, Sep 28 (ANI): The BJP on Sunday hailed imposition of president's rule in poll-bound Maharashtra after former Chief Minister Prithviraj Chavan resigned. Chavan quit after the regional Nationalist Congress Party pulled out of the government over failure of seat-sharing talks with the Congress party. President Pranab Mukherjee signed the proclamation a day after the union cabinet recommended it. Congress said that the decision was arbitrary. The NCP said it was the President's prerogative. At least 5 killed in bus accident in Jharkhand

Palamu, Sep 28 (ANI): At least 5 people, including one woman and a child, were killed and several others injured when a bus caught fire after a high voltage electricity wire fell on it in Jharkhand on Sunday. The accident occurred in Palamu district, around 160 kilometre of state capital Ranchi, when a hanging high voltage electricity wire caressed the speeding bus, leading to fire in the bus. Deputy Superintendent of Police, Ajay Kumar, thanked villagers for saving many lives. Around 50 people managed to escape the burning bus. The injured were admitted to the nearby hospital. Four militants killed in gun battle in Assam

Kokrajhar, Sep 28 (ANI): Four militants of a banned outfit were killed in an encounter by a joint team of police and army personnel on Sunday in Kokrajhar district of Assam. The militants killed were from National Democratic Front of Bodoland (NDBF). Acting on tip-off information, militants were located in the jurisdiction of Kachugaon police station. Huge amounts of arms and ammunition including an AK-47 and round fire magazines were recovered from the militants.
