Theatre & Film Festival marks 150 years of Indias Queen of Hills

Shimla, April 26 (ANI): More than 40 national and international theatre artistes participated in a six-day theatre festival in Shimla, organised to walk down memory lane of the celebratory 150 years of the ‘Queen of the Hills,’ crowned thus for its sheer scenic beauty and picturesque locations. The hilltown was named ‘Queen of Hills’ by British colonial rulers and the town still has around 150 British-era heritage buildings and this celebration mainly aims to recreate the historic past. A series of other programmes have also been chalked out as part of the celebratory festivities, which include mythological ballets, film festivals, and display of army bands to showcase the hill town’s glorious history and culture.The local young theatre artistes are thrilled and believe that this would be a great opportunity for them as they will get to see well-known plays by renowned theatre directors of the country. Salman Khan is India's fittest actor!

New Delhi, April 26 (ANI): Bollywood superstar Salman Khan defeated stars like Hrithik Roshan and Arjun Rampal to grab the first position as India's fittest actor in an online poll. The poll was conducted by TheHealthSite.com, a health and wellness site, where more than 30,000 people voted for their favourite stars. Salman and Hrithik's fan following on social media ensured that they received the maximum number of votes defeating other fit actors. Cellphones bring 'reading revolution' in poor countries

New Delhi, April 25 (ANI): A new report has revealed that the spread of mobile technologies that have made books more accessible than ever before and thus bringing a “reading revolution.” According to UNESCO, 62 percent of those surveyed said they enjoy reading more after they started reading on mobile devices, and one-third said they use their phones to read to their children, an additional third said they would do so if more child-friendly books were available. According to the study, 60 percent of respondents cited a desire for more diverse reading options as the primary hurdle to reading on mobile devices, while only 18 percent cited cost. The UN estimates that around 6 billion people have access to mobile phones today and broadband mobile connections have seen tremendous growth in developing countries. Apr 25, 2014
