Govt to start discussions on uniform civil code, draws flak from opposition

New Delhi, Dec 13 (ANI): The Central government on Saturday drew flak from the opposition amidst reports of discussions over implementation of Uniform Civil Code. Congress leader Rashid Alvi said that it was unfortunate news as India is a nation of diverse cultures and it will hurt the sentiments of all religious people. Samajwadi Party leader Naresh Agarwal said that his party is against the decision as it will spread communal tension. JD (U) leader KC Tyagi said that PM Narendra Modi's government has finally resorted to its kind of politics which is communal.

Black Money: SIT traces 4479 crore rupees abroad, Politicos react

New Delhi, Dec 13 (ANI): Political parties on Saturday reacted after an SIT on black money traced 4479 crore rupees of black money in Swiss banks. BJP leader Meenakshi Lekhi said that the government should gradually start the process of gaining information on people related to black money. Congress leader Rashid Alvi said that the PM is not working towards bringing back money to the country. SP leader Naresh Agarwal said that this issue is being raised since a long time and no solid results have come out. NCP leader Majid Memon said that much larger amount of black money is being stocked in India itself. CPI leader D Raja said that we should let SIT present its full report as Finance Minister said they are in a learning process.

Pro ISIS twitter account handler detained in Bengaluru, Politicos react

New Delhi, Dec 13 (ANI): Political leaders on Saturday welcomed the detention of Pro ISIS twitter account handler in Bengaluru. Bengaluru police have detained the handler of the pro ISIS twitter handle at ShamiWitness on Friday night. However, the top police officials declined to confirm whether he was arrested and under which sections was a case made out against him. Samajwadi Party leader Naresh Agrawal said that its good that the person in question is arrested but the intelligence agencies should remain more alert on such issues. Congress leader Manish Tewari questioned on the delay in the arrest of the twitter handler. NCP leader Majid Memon also welcomed the arrest.

Politicos condemn death of Indian fisherman in Pak jail

New Delhi, Dec 13 (ANI): Political leaders on Saturday condemned the death of an Indian fisherman in Pakistan jail. The 30 year old Indian fisherman, Devo Mand Kansaro has been found dead under mysterious circumstances in a jail in Karachi. Kansaro was arrested in March by Pakistan's Maritime Security Agency for fishing in the Arabian sea. Jail authorities claimed that Kansaro had died from natural causes after complaining chest pain. Political leaders demanded stern action against Pakistan by the Indian government. However, they ruled out any relation of the incident with the Parliamentary dialogue of the MPs of both nations gone wrong on Friday.

Maharashtra irrigation scam: Politicos react after Fadnavis gives nod for probe against Ajit Pawar

New Delhi, Dec 13 (ANI): Politicos reacted on Saturday after Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis gave his nod for probe against former Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar and NCP’s Maharashtra unit president Sunil Tatkare, in the alleged irrigation scam worth `26,000 crore. BJP leader GVL Narsimha Rao said that he feels Maharashtra government has fulfilled the promises it made to the people before polls. Congress leader Rashid Alvi said that the government can give a nod for the probe but shoudn’t order probe out of hatred or for taking any kind of revenge.
