New Delhi, Oct 15 (ANI): The recent killing of India's fisherman by patrolling marines of Pakistan on the high seas of international waters prompted Foreign Ministry to summon Deputy High Commissioner of Pakistan to India lodge a stern protest. Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Syed Akbaruddin condemned the incident wherein Pakistani Maritime Security Agency had shot dead one Indian fisherman and detained 30 others off Jakhau coast on Friday. Coal scam: CBI names KM Birla, ex-Coal Secretary in fresh FIR

New Delhi, Oct 15 (ANI): In another high profile chargesheet in the coal scam, the CBI has registered a case against Chairman of the Aditya Birla Group, KM Birla. Aluminum maker Hindalco, which Mr Birla promotes, has also been named in the fresh FIR filed by the agency. According to reports, the FIR names Birla, Nalco, Hindalco and former coal secretary PC Parekh. The charges in the FIR reportedly pertain to alleged forgery and financial misrepresentation. The investigating agency is conducting raids at the Hyderabad, Mumbai and Kolkata offices of Hindalco. The CBI is under pressure from the Supreme Court to hasten its investigation into how and why coal fields were allocated to private players without a transparent bidding process. Oct 15, 2013

New Delhi, Oct 15 (ANI): The Indian authorities have commenced thorough investigation into 'illegal' weapons found onboard a ship operated by an US maritime security company, which was detained off the Tuticorin (Tuthukudi) port in Tamil Nadu. The ship was seized on Friday. India's Foreign Ministry Spokesperson, Syed Akbaruddin stated that the ship where 35 people were onboard was also detained for failing to produce papers authorising the vessel to carry weapons and ammunition in Indian waters. Fire in Pantry car of Rajdhani Express, no casualities reported

Dibrugarh, Oct 15 (ANI): Passengers on board the Rajdhani Express travelling from Dibrugarh to New Delhi had a narrow escape after the pantry car of the train caught fire early morning on Tuesday. No causality has been reported so far. According to sources, one of the two pantry cars caught fire following which, the rest of the train was isolated to prevent further damage. The incident happened as the train was crossing through Assam's Nagaon district at about 4:00 in the morning. The fire has now been brought under control.
