Separatists in Kashmir call for shutdown on Republic Day.

Srinagar, Jan 26 (ANI): Separatists called for a complete shutdown in Jammu and Kashmir on 65th Republic Day on Sunday. The shutdown call was given by hardliner Kashmiri separatist leader Syed Ali Shah Geelani and was supported by a host of separatist groups. All shops, business establishments, and the public transport remained shut. Every year the separatists announce shutdown on Republic Day and Independence Day. Meanwhile, heavy security has been deployed in the state to foil any attempt by militants to disturb the Republic day function.

Maoists torch trucks in Jharkhand
