India, Pakistan end cross-border trade crisis

Islamabad, Feb 14 (ANI): Pakistan and India reached an agreement to resume trade across the Line of Control (LoC) in Kashmir, and to allow trucks to move across the heavily-militarised de facto border. Pakistan foreign ministry spokesperson Tasnim Aslam told in Islamabad that the steps were taken in the interest of Kashmiris on both sides of the border.

Raje Govt pursuing politics of transforming Rajasthan

New Delhi, Feb 14 (ANI): Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje has maintained that she believes in the politics of transforming the state, instead of pursuing vengeful politics. Since assuming power in December last year, her government has taken several important decisions for people's welfare. The government decided not to implement FDI in Multi Brand Retail, in the view of adverse impact on employment opportunities for youth in the state. It has also decided to supply uninterrupted single-phase power for domestic connections. Raje's government has also decided to constitute the Rajasthan Subordinate and Ministerial Staff Selection Board, which would ease the process of recruitments.

Govt set to raise Rs 61,162 cr from spectrum auction

New Delhi, Feb 14 (ANI): India is set to raise about Rs 61,162 crore from the auction of telecommunication spectrum, said Telecoms secretary M F Farooqui, far exceeding the government's target as it tries to narrow its budget deficit. Eight companies, including Bharti Airtel Ltd, Vodafone Group Plc's India unit and Reliance Industries Ltd, had applied to bid in the auction of 900 megahertz and 1800 megahertz band airwaves.
