Bangladeshi expatriates stage protest against Sheikh Hasina in US

New York, Sep 28 (ANI): Bangladeshi expatriates held a protest against Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina in the United States. Hasina was in New York to attend the 69th edition of United Nations General Assembly. The protesters blamed Hasina for killing thousands of the countrymen. Several supporters of Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) were also present during the demonstration. A protester, Giash Ahmed alleged misrule by Hasina in Bangladesh and protested at the ruling Awami League government's corruption in the country and the waste of money during the prime minister's visit to the US as she took an entourage of 180 members for attending a meeting. On Friday, Hasina participated in the high-level meeting on United Nations peacekeeping on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly that was chaired by US Vice President Joe Biden. Sep 28, 2014

Karachi, Sep 28 (ANI): Pakistan maritime authorities arrested twenty nine Indian fishermen and took into custody their five boats for illegal fishing in the country's territorial waters, according to a police official. The arrested fishermen were handed over to police in the port city of Karachi for necessary legal action. According to maritime security agency, the fishermen were almost 10 kilometres inside Pakistan territorial waters when they were detained. Reactions flow over PM Modi's UN General Assembly address

New Delhi, Sep 27 (ANI): Reactions flowed on Saturday after Prime Minister Narendra Modi gave his first addressing speech in the United Nations General Assembly. Security Expert Uday Bhaskar said that Prime Minister gave a befitting and comprehensive reply to Pakistani Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif's comment on Kashmir issue. Jammu and Kashmir's former DGP MM Khajuria said that Modi's address was a comprehensively thoughtful speech in the benefit of entire world. Meanwhile, former India diplomat NN Jha said that after Nawaz Sharif's comment on Kashmir issue it was a general opinion that India should ignore the matter but added that Modi addressed the issue in a very smart way.
