New Delhi, Jan 21 (ANI): TMC MP Dinesh Trivedi on Wednesday said that the reports of joining BJP are just rumors. He said that just praising Prime Minister Narendra Modi does not say that he or anyone will join the BJP. He said that the whole world is looking at India with hope and all should join hands to build a new India. Trivedi said that TMC Chief Mamata Banerjee has definitely done a great job for the state but the life should not just end there. Politicos react as Manmohan Singh questioned by CBI in coal block scam case

New Delhi, Jan 21 (ANI): Congress leader Abhishek Manu Singhvi on Wednesday said that there is no need to politicize former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh's examination by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) over his role in the coal block allocation case relating to Hindalco, as it is purely a legal process. Earlier today, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) claimed that the CBI was under pressure for not investigating former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on his role in the coal block allocation during UPA tenure. The CBI has reportedly examined and questioned the former Prime Minister on his role in the coal block allocation case relating to Hindalco. The CBI is yet to give an official confirmation in this regard, even as Dr Singh's office has denied receiving any such summons. BJP's CM candidate Kiran Bedi to file nomination today

New Delhi, Jan 21 (ANI): BJP's chief ministerial candidate Kiran Bedi is holding a roadshow ahead of filing her nomination papers for the Delhi assembly election. Earlier in the day, she paid tribute to Lala Lajpat Rai and also cleaned his statue in Krishna Nagar constituency. She also met tea and newspaper sellers in Krishna Nagar and enquired about the kind of issues they were facing. Bedi is scheduled to file her nomination from Krishna Nagar today. The scrutiny of nominations will take place tomorrow, while the last date for withdrawal of nominations is January 24. Polling will take place on February 7 and the counting of votes will be taken up on February 10. Congress Legal Department Secretary KC Mittal said that despite being issued notice by the EC, Kejriwal repeated the controversial remarks about taking bribes. Mittal said that norms and rules should be taken care of by all the political parties and leaders. He said that the EC has power to derecognize the party if it so desires and if Kejriwal does not stop making such remarks.
