India wants peace with China but not at cost of honour: Rajnath Singh

Noida, Oct 25 (ANI): Home Minister Rajnath Singh has said that India wants peace with China but not at the cost of its honour while referring to the border dispute. Singh said Prime Minister Narendra Modi had conveyed to China's President Xi Jinping that New Delhi wanted to resolve the border issues peacefully. Singh also asked Pakistan to stop shelling along the Kashmir border and create an environment for resumption of dialogue with New Delhi. Singh also played down media reports that suicide bombers could attack the state-run Air India aircrafts.

Villagers attack policemen in Birbhum

Birbhum/ Kolkata, Oct 25 (ANI): Villagers in Birbhum district of West Bengal attacked policemen and their vehicle on Friday, while state administration alleges that the attack was politically motivated. The assailants who attacked the police were armed with crude bombs, batons and other arms. The police reportedly fired few rounds in air to disperse the attacking mob. Regional Trinamool Congress Party leader Anubrata Mondal had earlier alleged that the state BJP workers were behind the attack on the police in Birbhum. However, denying his earlier statement, Mondal said it was wrong to point guns at anybody without any proof.

Nagas send out a message of peace and unity in capital

New Delhi, Oct 25 (ANI): It was a jam-packed session at Delhi's Jawaharlal Nehru stadium when thousands of people from different Naga tribes living in the capital city came together for the 'NSUD Nite 2014'- the 51st edition of the annual night cum fresher's meet of the Naga Students Union, Delhi. The annual event aims at fostering unity among the Nagas; besides promoting their cultural legacy. Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Kiren Rijiju addressed the event as the Chief Guest and called for unity among the northeastern people at large. The event witnessed a colorful array of performances including the unique warrior dance of the Sumi Naga community and a melodious performance by the Naga Christian Fellowship choir.

Ram Jethmalani pens advise to Arun Jaitley on black money case

Mumbai, Oct 24 (ANI): Senior lawyer Ram Jethmalani said on Friday that he has given his piece of advice on the black money case to the Finance Minister Arun Jaitley through a scathing letter. Fierce gunbattle in Kashmir between security forces and militants

SIMI suspects sent to judicial remand on the basis of evidence: Mahender Reddy

Hyderabad, Oct 24 (ANI): Hyderabad Police Commissioner Mahender Reddy on Friday said that the SIMI suspects have been send to judicial remand on the basis of evidence. Vietnam PM to visit India on Oct 27th Part - 2
