Paris, Jan 13 (ANI): Up to 3 million copies of Charlie Hebdo could hit newsstands this week, dwarfing its usual print run of 60,000 in response to soaring demand for the first edition of the satirical weekly since last week's deadly attacks by Islamist militants. The French satirical magazine will come back with a bang defying the attackers by putting a cartoon of the Prophet Muhammed on its cover, as the government on Monday announced the deployment of 10,000 soldiers to boost security. Liberation newspaper, now temporarily housing Charlie Hebdo operations, revealed the front page of "survivors' issue" via Twitter late on Monday as the edition is due to be out by Wednesday. Srinagar, Jan 13 (ANI): As the cold wave continued unabated in Jammu and Kashmir and temperatures dropped below zero, residents thronged to shops selling woolen garments to keep themselves warm. Kashmir valley is in the midst of 40-day-long Chillai Kalan, believed to be the harshest winter period which had begun on December 21, 2014. The sale of the woolen wear has increased manifold due to plummeting temperatures. Residents in capital Srinagar are forced to stay indoors due to persistent cold wave conditions. And with mercury dipping, customers are lured with a variety of sweaters and jackets. Weather in the valley remains dry and cold as it did not receive much snowfall. Joint survey on India- Myanmar bus service begins

Imphal, Jan 13 (ANI): A joint team of officials from India and Myanmar began a field survey for the proposed Imphal-Mandalay passenger bus service. Ten officials from Myanmar arrived in Imphal to survey the 579-kilometer-long road route from there to Mandalay together with Indian officials. Manipur's Transport Secretary, M Laxmi Kumar said the bus service is in its final stage. The Indian government had already sent a draft report regarding the same to the government of Myanmar and is awaiting its response.
