New Delhi, Jan 30 (ANI): Environment Minister Prakash Javadekar on Friday said that the revelations made by Jayanthi Natarajan regarding the Environment Ministry are a matter of grave concern and he would review the specific files mentioned in Jayanthi's letter. In a major embarrassment for the Congress party Jayanthi Natarajan, who was sacked as Environment minister three months ahead of the 2014 Lok Sabha polls has apparently blasted the leadership of Rahul Gandhi in a letter sent to party chief Sonia Gandhi. According to reports, the minister is likely to quit the party days ahead of the Delhi Assembly polls. Three Indian villagers injured in fresh ceasefire violation by Pakistan

Arnia, Jan 30 (ANI): In a fresh incident of ceasefire violation by Pakistani Rangers on the international border in Kashmir, three villagers were injured. The incident happened in Arnia sector of Jammu and Kashmir late Thursday night. The Border Security Force (BSF) has retaliated in full measure. Villagers rushed the three injured to a government hospital where condition of one of them has been described as critical. Residents said they faced difficulty in rescuing the wounded amid a barrage of bullets. New Delhi, Jan 30 (ANI): External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj said that she was aware of the plans to replace Sujatha Singh with S Jaishankar, but the swift decision of the Prime Minister's Office on Wednesday night to sack India's top diplomat has clearly taken her ministry by surprise. Swaraj said the abrupt appointment took place since the former was retiring on January 31. Swaraj tweeted, “I was very much a part of the decision to appoint Dr. Jaishankar as Foreign Secretary. Since Dr. Jaishankar was retiring on January 31, we had to issue orders of his appointment before that date. I told her that the Government wanted to appoint Dr.Jaishankar as Foreign Secretary,” Swaraj further added. GNLF founder Subash Ghisingh passes away

New Delhi, Jan 30 (ANI): Gorkha National Liberation Front (GNLF) founder Subash Ghisingh, who spearheaded the Gorkhaland movement in the 1980s, died at the age of 78. He was suffering from liver ailments and cancer and breathed his last at Sir Ganga Ram Hospital. Ghisingh had founded GNLF in 1980 and was the chairman of the Darjeeling Gorkha Hill Council in West Bengal from 1988 to 2008. He had led the Gorkhaland movement to demand for a separate state for ethnic Gorkha people living in Darjeeling district of West Bengal. Jan 30, 2015
