Meanwhile, the BJP's Maharashtra unit president Devendra Fadanvis continues to be a frontrunner for the post of chief minister. On Thursday, Fadnavis met Gadkari at his Nagpur residence and reportedly had discussions for about 30 minutes. Fadnavis later told media that he had just come to wish Gadkari on the occasion of Diwali.
