In order to impart skill oriented training among the youths the state govt. has started the construction of a new polytechnic college in Baramulla district. The main aim of constructing this college is to impart trainings like civil engineering, architecture, computer operator and electric engineering among the unemployed youths of Baramulla district. Construction work of the college started in March 2013 and is likely to be completed in 2015.Snowfall in Kashmir valley although is a blessing for many but for some it brings miseries and hardships. The most sufferers by this snowfall are the people living in far-flung areas where the normal life gets shattered by the snowfall. The recent snowfall in district Ganderbal has led to the roads disconectivity, power failure and dearth of essential commodities like gas, kerosene and water supply.During the harsh winter, the residents of Barthana area have a tough time, as the electricity in this area is equal to nothing. Barthana is one of the connected areas of Qamerwari in Srinagar and maximum people are belonging to poor community that is earning their two times bread and butter with hard work. New Delhi, Feb 01 (ANI): Reacting to the increase in power tariff, milk prices and a considerable hike in diesel prices, BJP leaders on Saturday started a protest in the national capital against the Delhi government. Earlier, Delhi Electricity Regulatory Commission (DERC) announced a hike in the power tariff ranging from 6-8 percent applicable from February 1 onwards. New Delhi, Feb 01 (ANI): A day after the shocking death of a 19-year-old son of an Arunachal Pradesh Congress legislator after being beaten up mercilessly in an alleged racial attack at a busy marketplace in NewDelhi, a delegation headed by Rajya Sabha MP Mukut Mithi will on Saturday meet Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and discuss the incident. The boy, Nido Taniam had reportedly gone to Lajpat Nagar on January 29 in search of an address, and someone at a shop allegedly made fun of his hair. Arunachal Pradesh Chief Resident Commissioner ,Avinash Mishra, said that the boy, in a fit of rage, broke a glass in the shop, after which a scuffle broke.
