Militant hideout busted in J&K, cache of arms & ammunitions recovered

Baramulla, March 30 (ANI): Paramilitary forces on Sunday busted a militant’s hideout in Baramulla district of Jammu and Kashmir ahead of upcoming general election. A huge cache of arms and ammunitions were recovered from the hideout during a joint operation by Rashtriya Rifles and Police in Tangmula forest of Baramulla district. Following this the security had been beefed up in the valley. The restive region has witnessed numerous militant attacks, insurgency, and infiltration attempts from across the border in the last two decades. This is the third hideout busted by security forces in the past one week after two militant hideouts were busted in Bandipora district of Kashmir. Mar 30, 2014

Bastar, Mar 30 (ANI): As India prepares for mammoth general elections that are just a week away, Maoists in ‘red corridor’ of Bastar district of Chhattisgarh held a Jan Adalat on Saturday (March 29), asking villagers to boycott polls. The red rebels held a rally in the dense forests of the region and threatened not to vote. Not only the villagers, the politicians and candidates are also under the constant threat of Maoists, who are braving the situation and are working to encourage people to vote.
