Women Against State Pension Inequality protest outside Conservative conference

Hundreds of activists from the Women Against State Pension inequality group protested outside the Conservative Party conference being held in Birmingham. IBTimes UK filmed the protest as woman dressed in the purple, white and green of the suffragette movement were trying to urge Theresa May to make major retirement fund reforms. Chanting slogans, the activists claim the equalling of the state pension age between men and women in 1995 means women in their 50s could now be up to £40,000 worse off. Oct 4, 2016

Donald Trump declares tax system unfair but admits to being beneficiary

Speaking at a Rally in Loveland, Colorado on 3 October, Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump decried the unfairness of the tax system, at the same time admitting he is a very big beneficiary. A New York Times report showed Trump taking an almost $1bn loss in 1995, that may have allowed him to avoid paying federal income taxes for up to 18 years. Oct 4, 2016
