Unite the Right organiser chased away by angry crowds in Charlottesville

Jason Kessler, the organizer behind the Unite the Right marches in Charlottesville, has been chased out of his own press conference by angry protesters. Kessler was addressing the press on 13 August, when crowds stormed the conference, forcing him to flee with police protection. The far-right marches led to violence across Charlottlesville over the weekend, leaving one counter protester dead after a car ploughed into demonstrators. Aug 14, 2017

China will remain neutral if North Korea fires missiles at United States territory first...but should the US launch a preemptive strike, as it has suggested it might, North Koreas chief ally would come to the Norths aide. While not direct government policy, that verdict of how the country should react amid the unfolding nuclear threats from the US and North Korea is contained in an editorial in the influential Communist Party–run Global Times newspaper if the US and South Korea carry out strikes and try to overthrow the North Korean regime and change the political pattern of the Korean Peninsula, China will prevent them from doing so. Violence broke out the night before Virginia braces for White Nationalist rally

A large group of white nationalists marched in Charlottesville. The group carried torches and chanted through the University of Virginia campus, and briefly clashed with some counter protesters. The march came on the night before the Unite the Right rally on Saturday, in which thousands of alt-right activists from the country are expected to gather and attend. The rally is sparked by the citys decision to remove a sculpture of Confederate General Robert E. Lee from a public park. Currently, at least one from the rally has been arrested and several were being treated for minor injuries. Aug 13, 2017
