People toast their glasses at first Wine Festival in Nagpur

Nagpur, Dec 01 (ANI): Organisers held the first Wine Festival in orange city Nagpur highlighting health benefits of the low alcoholic beverage. The two-day-long festival was organised by the 'Wine Lovers Club' and eight Indian brands promoted their drinks during the event. Wine festival was enjoyed by a large number of people smelling, shaking and tasting wine and watching bartenders juggling wine bottles. An organiser at the event, Sunil Mankikr, said that their main aim was to tell people that wine and liquor are two different beverages and drinking wine was a healthy option.

International community expresses concern over Bangladesh political crisis

Dhaka, Dec 01 (ANI): There is no sign of any change in the political deadlock between the two warring political parties in Bangladesh even as the 71-hour long nation-wide strike by Khaleda Zia-led BNP and allies paralyzed business, education and health facilities across the country. Over a dozen people were killed in violence and over 250 injured in three days. Vehicles were set ablaze by supporters of BNP as they clashed with police.

Shinde calls for protection of fishermen

Mumbai, Dec 01 (ANI): Union Home Minister, Sushilkumar Shinde said on Sunday that the country's coast guard had been briefed to maintain maritime security, whilst making sure that fishermen were not targeted. Addressing a media conference in Mumbai, Shinde said that concerned states have been given funds and equipments to modernise the coast guard, but the fishermen community should not be seen as an easy target.
