Indian diplomat Devyani eligible for diplomatic immunity, claims lawyer

Mumbai, Dec 15 (ANI): Despite the US state Department saying that she does not have a diplomatic immunity stating that the Vienna convention on consular relations does not cover personal actions of the diplomats, lawyer of India's deputy consul Devyani Khobragade has claimed that his client does enjoy diplomatic immunity. Devyani has been accused of lying on the visa application for an Indian national who worked for her for less than four dollars an hour, violating US norms.

New Delhi, Dec 15 (ANI): Even as the country debates section 377 with majority against the Supreme Court's ruling that criminalizes gay sex in India, BJP President Rajnath Singh has spoken for the first time in support of the ruling.
