Pressure builds up on AAP to form Government and deliver promises

New Delhi, Dec 14 (ANI): Reacting to Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) chief Arvind Kejriwal's conditions for taking the support offered by the Congress, party leader Ghulam Nabi Azad on Saturday said the AAP should deliver the promises made to the people by forming the government. Delhi Congress president JP Agarwal said that the Congress party offered unconditional support so that there is no additional burden of re-elections on people of the state. Another Congress leader Jagdambika Pal said that the AAP is insulting the democratic structure of the country by not forming the government in Delhi. Earlier today, AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal met Lieutenant Governor Najeeb Jung and discussed the possibility of government formation in Delhi.

BJP hits back at AAP, says Kejriwal is arrogant

New Delhi, Dec 14 (ANI): The BJP on Saturday slammed AAP convener Arvind Kejriwal after he demanded response from the BJP and the Congress on issues raised by his party. After meeting Lt Governor Najeeb Jung, Kejriwal in a press conference had stated that he is awaiting response of his letter from both the parties now. Reacting on it, BJP leader Balbir Punj said that so much arrogance does not work in public life and added that Kejriwal thinks he is country's 'Bhagyavidhaata.'

Hundreds protest in Pakistan after Abdul Quader Mollahs execution in Bangladesh

Karachi, Dec 14 (ANI): Hundreds of activists and supporters of Pakistan’s Jamaat-e-Islami staged countrywide protests on Friday to condemn the execution of Bangladeshi Islamist leader Abdul Quader Mollah. Bangladesh executed Mollah on Thursday for war crimes he committed during the 1971 war of independence from Pakistan. In Pakistan’s commercial capital, Karachi, more than five hundred supporters of Jamaat-e-Islami took to streets after Friday prayers. Holding banners and party flags, they shouted slogans and held funeral prayers-in-absentia for Mollah. More than two hundred rallied in Lahore and dozens staged protest in the capital Islamabad while over one hundred protesters rallied in the city of Peshawar.

At least 6 killed in Mumbai high-rise building fire

Mumbai, Dec 14 (ANI): At least 6 people are feared dead while 25 others have been rescued in a major fire that broke out in the 26-storey Mont Blanc building, an elite residential high-rise in South Mumbai. Fire broke out on the 12th floor of the high-rise residential building on Friday causing damage to the property but there were no immediate reports of casualties. The fire fighters rushed to the site and struggled to douse the flames atop the building. It is being said that renovation work was being carried out on the 12th floor of the building which initiated the fire. There was a cylinder blast which further aggravated the mishap.
