Verinag tourist spot is built by Mughal emperor Jahangir in 1620 A.D. The state govt. has done many efforts to upgrade the health infrastructure in the far flung areas and provide all the basic health care facilities to the poor and down trodden people but still much more is need to be done. The Khoti govt. middle school which is situated in the heart of Srinagar city near Lal Chowk is lacking the basic infrastructure which has led to the suffering of the students.

Roads from Manjakote to Mangalnad in Manjakote block in Rajouri district are being built after decades under the centrally Sponsored Scheme Prime Minister Grameen Sadak Yojna (PMGSY). Many middle schools in Rajouri district have been upgraded, but students have not benefited from this.

Arvind Kejriwal meets LG, demands SIT probe into 1984 riots

New Delhi, Jan 29 (ANI): Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Wednesday met Lieutenant Governor Najeeb Jung and requested a SIT probe into the 1984 anti-Sikh riots. Kejriwal informed that the LG was quite positive when he met him to discuss the issue. Troubled commuters urge India, Pak to resume cross-border bus service in Kashmir

Poonch, Jan 29 (ANI): Commuters, traders facing troubles while travelling between India and Pakistan urged the governments of both countries to resume bus service and trade along Kashmir's international border. Efforts by India and Pakistan to increase trade and ease tension in disputed Kashmir have suffered a blow with police saying they had seized more than 100 kg (220 lb) of heroin concealed in a truck full of nuts coming from the Pakistan side.
