Manufacturing affordable drugs does not mean spurious: Gulam Nabi tells US FDA Chief

New Delhi, Feb 11 (ANI): Union Health Minister Gulam Nabi Azad told US FDA Chief, Margaret Hamburg that Indian drugs should not be treated as spurious just because they are affordable, after the two countries signed a Statement of Intent on Cooperation working to keep off sub-standard pharma exports from entering the United States. Underlining New Delhi’s commitment to stringent regulatory mechanism, Azad said it has taken measures for capacity building, strengthening laboratories and more transparency that would turn out favourable for both India and US. New Delhi, Feb 11 (ANI): Lieutenant Governor Najeeb Jung gave a nod to the Aam Aadmi Party-led Delhi government's recommendations for a probe by Special Investigation Team (SIT) on the 1984-anti Sikh riots. Speaking over the decision senior lawyer of Delhi High Court H.S Phoolka said under the SIT probe, all those cases which were closed or shown untraced would be re-opened, re-investigated and if the need arises fresh FIRs would be registered.
