He also appealed the students not to create such ‘out of proportion’ state anywhere which can trouble their kin residing in other parts of the country. Indian customs officials recover 6 people with arms in Samjhauta Express

Attari, March 07 (ANI): Indian customs officials arrested six people, including two women at the Attari railway station in Punjab while they were returning from Pakistan on the Samjhauta Express that runs between New Delhi and Lahore. Eleven pistols and 22 empty magazines were seized from them. The alleged arms smugglers, who were coming from Pakistan, had hidden the arms in juicer and wheat mincing machines. Deputy Commissioner of Indian Custom Department, Gurdev Singh, said during routine check up of the luggage, the officials got suspicious and confiscated them. Tripura, March 07 (ANI): A Bangladesh team led by Md Abdul Mannan, Director General of Bangladesh’s Department of Land Records and Survey, was in India to carry out a joint border survey with their Indian counterparts. The Indian team was led by the Director of the Survey of India, NR Biswal. They surveyed some 200 kms of the international boundary, including few disputed points like Kamalasagar, Kaiyerdhepha and Akhaura land port areas, and also finalised the location of the new subsidiary border pillars.
