Supreme Court extends Subrata Roys police custody

New Delhi, March 04 (ANI): Sahara Group Chief Subrata Roy will remain in police custody till Tuesday next, when the case will be heard again, said Supreme Court. While ordering the custody of Roy, the court, however, clarified that it was not an order on contempt. Two more directors of the company, Ravi Shankar Dubey and Ashok Roy Chaudhary were also ordered to be taken into custody. The court said that it was not happy with the proposal of Sahara on refund of money as “they have not come up with any concrete proposal and bank guarantee.” Earlier, Roy apologised to the Supreme Court for his failure to comply with the order to appear before it. They are headquartered in Adachi-ku in eastern Tokyo, and respond to emergencies at home and abroad. The team consists of 63 people, who are specially trained firefighters with advanced rescue gear.
