Jammu, Feb 04 (ANI): As he pitched for more funds to promote science, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh said that the country's annual expenditure on science and technology should be atleast two per cent of the GDP. Singh was addressing the Indian Science Congress for the tenth year in succession in Jammu where he said India needs to leverage the ability of modern science to deliver value to society. The event was attended by several scientists, noble laureates, Union Science and Technology Minister S Jaipal Reddy, and J&K Chief Minister Omar Abdullah. The meet will last for five days.
