New Delhi, June 11 (ANI): BJP's minister Gen (retd) VK Singh's tweets about Army Chief- designate Lt Gen Dalbir Singh Suhag created a big political storm on Wednesday. V K Singh in his tweets had hit at Suhag saying he had protected unit that 'killed innocents'. Reacting to this, JD (U) leader K C Tyagi said that Singh has vested interests in blocking appointment of Gen Dalbir Singh, request PM Narendra Modi and Defence minister Arun Jaitley to act on moral grounds. TPDDL in Delhi claims to meet cent percent electricity demand

New Delhi, June 11 (ANI): Power distribution company in Delhi, Tata Power Delhi Distribution Limited (TPDDL) has claimed to have met 100 percent electricity demands in its jurisdiction despite reports of prolonged power cuts in the city during scorching summer heat. TPDDL, which supplies power to nearly 30 percent of residents in north and northeast Delhi, said there was no load shedding. Earlier on Tuesday, Junior Power Minister Piyush Goyal blamed previous Congress party-led government in the city and said that dilapidated power grids could not cope with extra electricity needed to meet demand, leading to more power cuts.
