Omar, Mufti fume over Jitendra Singh for Article 370 debate remark

New Delhi, May 28 (ANI): J&K chief minister Omar Abdullah and Peoples Democratic Party Chief Mehbooba Mufti have slammed junior minister in Prime Minister’s Office, Jitendra Singh, over his remark on Article 370, which provides special autonomous status to Jammu and Kashmir. After taking charge, Singh on the very first day stirred controversy, saying that Kashmir has lost more than gained due to Article 370. The remark drew sharp reactions with Abdullah saying that Article 370 was the only constitutional link between J&K and rest of India. Abdullah tweeted, “long after Modi government is a distant memory, either J&K won’t be part of India or Art 370 will still exist.” Meanwhile, Mufti said no one could challenge the article as it was included in the Indian constitution.
