India stands united over Kashmir, protest continue against Bilawal Bhuttos Kashmir remark

Bangalore/ Bhopal, Sep 22 (ANI): The statement of Pakistan People's Party Leader Bilawal Bhutto regarding Kashmir was strongly condemned across the country and sparked strong protests on Monday in various states of India. Members of the Indian Youth Congress in Bangalore city of Karnataka shouted anti-Bhutto slogans and burnt the banner bearing his picture. A member of Youth Congress, Pramod Shankar said that Kashmir would always remain an integral part of India. Besides, protests were also held in Bhopal city of Madhya Pradesh by members of Students’ Union. Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) members also protested against Bhutto. The protesters burnt his effigy and shouted ‘anti-Pakistan’ and ‘anti-Bhutto’ slogans. Bilawal addressed party workers in Multan region of western Punjab in Pakistan on Friday when he made his controversial comment that he would take back Kashmir and would not leave a single inch of which belonged to Pakistan. Vehicles carrying relief material for Kashmir flood victims and other necessary items have been passing through this road which offers the shortest route to Kashmir. Border Roads Organisation (BRO) Commanding Officer, Pankaj Kapur, told reporters that the connectivity to Poonch has been opened from both sides, including Mughal Road and Rajouri on a war footing. The women went on a rampage to destroy material used to produce country-made liquor in the villages. A tribal anti liquor activist, Malti Devi said that the campaign has been launched to make the state addiction free. Agartala, Sep 22 (ANI): With the festivities of the ‘Navratri’ or nine glorious nights of Hindu goddess, Durga round the corner, incessant rainfall dampened the spirit of idol makers who worry it might adversely affect their sales in Tripura. Artisans in state capital, Agartala, remain apprehensive as idol-making has been delayed due to the rains and efforts have to be geared up to complete the work on time. An artisan, Khokan Rudra Paul, said they have to employ more workers to complete the backlog that has occurred because of the rains. Usually, by this time, the artisans complete the mud work of the idols and shift the idols for colouring and last finishing, but this year because of the heavy rains, the idols are still wet and work has halted. The artisans use polythenes to cover the idols from the rain water. If the shower continues for a couple of days more, they would have to hire blow lanterns and gas flames to dry the idols.
