New Delhi, Sep 29 (ANI): Food and Consumer Affairs Minister Ram Vilas Paswan on Monday picked up broom participating in Prime Minister Narendra Modi's 'Clean India Mission'. Paswan cleaned the area in front of his office in Delhi. He said that he will participate in the mission on October 02 and expressed confidence to present Mahatma Gandhi a clean India by 2019. Paswan also said that this initiative by ministers and the prime minister himself will encourage people to participate in the movement for a clean nation. He also talked about Margaret Thatcher's reference wherein she said that 'Delhi was dirtiest she had witnessed' and said that such statements need to be proved false. Sep 29, 2014

Reactions flow in after Bihar CM alleges bias against Dalit Community

New Delhi, Sep 29 (ANI): Reactions poured in from political leaders on Monday after Bihar Chief Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi sparked controversy by stating that the temple premises and the god's idol in Madhubani district were cleansed after he visited the temple. BJP leader Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi said that it is funny that the head of the state is complaining to his subjects. CPI leader Atul Anjan slamming Manjhi for his comment said that he should stop playing caste-politics as this would not benefit Bihar. However, Minister of Consumer Affairs Ram Vilas Paswan and RJD leader Manojh Jha said that it is shameful that even the Chief Minister has to face caste-based discriminations within his state.
