New Delhi, Jan 24 (ANI): Political leaders on Saturday react as Congress leader Digvijay Singh tweeted calling AAP as ‘B team’ of BJP. He said that AAP is the ‘B Team’ of BJP and the Congress had ‘chosen a lesser evil’ by supporting Arvind Kejriwal in forming the government in Delhi in 2013. BJP leaders slammed the Congress leader and said that instead of thinking about other parties, Singh and party leadership should take care of their ‘alphabets’ and get in place their agenda. Police rescue 250 children in Hyderabad

Hyderabad, Jan 24 (ANI): Police on Saturday (January 24) rescued 250 children in Hyderabad who were forced to work as child labourers in industries. These children were rescued during a massive search operation carried out by the police in different locations of the city. Most of the children were from Bihar, aged between eight and 13 years. These children were brought to Hyderabad after paying an advance of rupees 5000 (USD 81.40) to rupees 10,000 (USD 162.80) to their parents. Child labour is getting common in India, where slavery ranges from bonded labour in quarries and kilns to domestic work and commercial sex exploitation. Heavy snowfall disrupts normal life in northern India

Shimla/ Rajouri, Jan 24 (ANI): Heavy snowfall in northern India blocked roads, snapped electricity lines and disrupted normal life. Rooftops and roads in Narkanda area of Shimla city in Himachal Pradesh were covered in snow. Temperatures dropped to subzero levels and even the water in the pipelines was frozen. The roads became dangerous to drive or walk on as a layer of ice had formed on them. Residents also complained that heavy snow damaged their roofs. Meanwhile, residents in Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir were forced to stay indoors due to plummeting temperatures and blocked roads. Lucknow/ Agra, Jan 24 (ANI): US President Barack Obama on Saturday cancelled his upcoming visit of Agra after reportedly being unhappy over the security arrangements in the city. According to reports, the security chief who was organising President Obama's Agra visit received a letter stating that the advisors of the visiting dignitary were allegedly unhappy over a 150 metre stretch near the Taj Mahal that he would have had to walk. No vehicle is allowed upto the main outer gate of the mausoleum. However, Principal Secretary (Home) of Uttar Pradesh Debasish Panda said an official confirmation about cancellation of Obama’s visit has not yet been received. Police recover stolen antique idols in Himachal Pradesh

Kullu, Jan 24 (ANI): Police recovered antique idols of Hindu deities in Himachal Pradesh that were stolen last month and detained the suspect in Nepal. A 17th century idol of Lord Raghunath, worth billion of rupees, was stolen from a temple in Kullu district along with idols of Lord Ganesha, Hanuman, Narsangh and Salig Ram and some silver and gold ornaments. The main idol was concealed under a stone structure in the outskirts of Kullu. The other priceless artifacts were recovered from a local market.
