Congress stages walkout from Parliament after demand of PM's remark on Mufti not fulfilled

New Delhi, Mar 02 (ANI): The Congress party on Monday staged a walkout from the Parliament after its demand for Prime Minister's statement on JandK Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed's remark giving credit to separatists and Pak government to ensure successful polls. Congress leader Shashi Tharoor said that democracy of India runs with the people of India not with Pakistani government. Meanwhile, Union Parliamentary Affairs Minister Venkaiah Naidu said that Opposition has every right to stage walkout, but government does not agree with JandK CM's statement. He added that the matter should have ended when Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh gave his statement.

Reactions flow amid reports of VIP treatment to Lakhvi in Pak jail

New Delhi, Mar 02 (ANI): Political leaders reacted on Monday amid reports of 26/11 Mumbai Attacks accused Zaki ur Rehman Lakhvi being given VIP treatment in Pakistan jail. Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut said that it is wrong on Pakistan's side. Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Kiren Rijiju said that Pakistan should consider that if it wants to keep friendly relations with India it should take care of Lakhvi's punishment. SP leader Naresh Aggarwal said that Lakhvi being jailed by Pak is a big thing as the country has always supported terrorists. Meanwhile, NCP leader Tariq Anwar said that Pakistan should not provide such VIP facilities to a terrorist like Lakhvi.

New Delhi, March 02 (ANI): Congress on Monday appointed Ajay Maken, who led the Congress party in the worst ever defeat in Delhi Assembly elections, as the Delhi Congress Pradesh Committee (DPCC) chief. The rejig was in continuation to Rahul Gandhi's campaign of revamping the beleaguered party. Speculations are rife that Rahul's sister Priyanka Gandhi will soon join active politics by accepting a general secretary post in the Congress party. This was, however, denied by Priyanka's office. TMC stages protest outside Parliament over black money issue

New Delhi, March 02 (ANI): TMC leaders yet again came out in protest against the NDA government over black money issue. The party workers carrying a black basket as prop, staged protest against the government outside the Parliament. Shouting anti government slogans with banners reading 'Bring back black money', the party leaders slammed the centre for just making speeches and not acting on the same. Meanwhile, Environment Minister Prakash Javadekar said that the TMC should first answer on the Saradha scam before protesting over black money.
