Afghanistan to sign US security agreement

Kabul, Sept 30 (ANI): Afghanistan will on Tuesday sign a crucial security agreement allowing the United States to leave a small contingent of troops in the country beyond this year, US officials said. Speaking in Kabul, White House counselor John Podesta said it was a positive move. The bilateral security agreement, or BSA, will allow nearly 10,000 US troops to remain in Afghanistan after the international combat mission ends on December 31. Sep 30, 2014

He said that Obama greeted Modi saying, Khem cho, Mr Prime Minister, which means How are you, Mr Prime Minister in Gujarati language; and Modi responded in English language, Thank you Mr. President. Akbaruddin said Modi laid out his hopes and aspirations for India and his developmental vision in a meeting which lasted 90 minutes. He also said that both the dynamic leaders agreed hat US- Indo relation is most important and it was incumbent for both to strengthen it. Goa CM launches four-lane highway project from Old Goa to Panaji

Goa, Sep 30 (ANI): Goa Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar launched a four-lane highway project from Old Goa to Panaji, which will be numbered as 'Highway 17B'. Public Works Department Minister Sudin Dhavalikar said that the highway will have a separate lane for bikes as Goa tourists as well as residents use more bikes than other vehicles. He said that the project is envisaged as model corridor for future development of national highways in the state. Dhavalikar who had last week spoken of a nearly 11 km flyover, said that there will be a flyover/bridge across Chimbel creek. It will be 200m long and will have six lanes with a footpath. Parrikar has said that the Four-laning of the nearly 10-km stretch of NH 4A will be completed by May 30, 2015. Sep 30, 2014
