Kashmir police fires tear gas shells on Muslims protesting over Gaza crisis

Srinagar/ New Delhi, July 29 (ANI): Security personnel fired tear gas shells at the stone-pelting protesters who took to streets in Kashmir on Tuesday against the Israeli attacks on Gaza. After offering prayers on the occasion of Eid-al-Fitr, Muslims came out in droves in Srinagar to protest against Israel. The security personnel chased and fired at the protesters. In retaliation, the protesters pelted stones at the security personnel. Meanwhile, Muslims who congregated at the New Delhi's historic mosque, Jama Masjid, also protested against Israel. International calls for a ceasefire have grown as the death toll has mounted in the worst flare-up of Israeli-Palestinian violence in almost two years, sparked by the murder of three Israeli teenagers and revenge killing of a Palestinian youth. Indo-Pak border guards exchange Eid pleasantries at Zero line

Attari -Wagah Border, July 29 (ANI): Warm hugs, pleasantries and mesmerizing Eid-Mubarak wishes were exchanged between the border guards of India and Pakistan at Zero line on Tuesday on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr, which marks the culmination of the Islamic holy month of Ramzan. Both the border guards along with other personnel shared hugs three times while wishing Eid Mubarak to each other. As a goodwill gesture, Indian and Pakistan border guards exchange greetings and sweets on certain occasions like Diwali, Eid, republic and independence days of both countries. New Delhi, July 29 (ANI): Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader and lawyer Prashant Bhushan on Tuesday said that an enquiry should be set up against Karnataka High Court judge K.L Manjunath and that his removal should be recommended by the Chief Justice of India himself. The Supreme Court collegium had given recommendation to elevate Karnataka High Court judge KL Manjunath as Chief Justice of Punjab and Haryana High Court but the NDA government had returned the collegium file, asking it to reconsider the elevation of KL Manjunath after the reports came into light. Reactions flow in as minor girl gang-raped in Delhi

New Delhi, July 29 (ANI): A Class X student was allegedly gang-raped by five persons, including two minors, at gunpoint in Uttam Nagar area of west Delhi. The incident reportedly took place a week ago when the accused took the victim, who was on her way to school, to a house and gang-raped her at gun point. They also recorded MMS clip of the entire incident. Two of the five accused are reportedly minor and one is known to the victim. India working to evacuate nationals from Libya as violence erupts: MEA

New Delhi, July 29 (ANI): As Libya caught up in a major violence after a second fuel tank caught fire amid heavy fighting at Tripoli airport between rival militias, India's MEA Spokesperson Syed Akbaruddin said that the country is working to evacuate Indian nationals from the country. He said that the 62 coordinators coordinating with Indian nationals have been set up already. The ministry is also providing them with air tickets to return to India, using funds from India. Akbaruddin also assured that Indians are safe till now. The battle for control of the airport erupted two weeks ago when Islamist-led militias, mainly from the western city of Misrata, tried to wrest control of the area from a rival militia from the town of Zintan.
