Purandeswari, who flagged off the walk said that the country needs to do much more to curb and spread more awareness about breast cancer. Breast cancer, commonest cancer in urban India, accounts for about 30 percent of all cancers in women and around one-lakh cases of breast cancer are detected in India, every year.
