Raipur, Nov 09 (ANI): Addressing a rally in Raipur, Chhattisgarh, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh said took a jibe at BJP and its prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi. He said that BJP is responsible for lack of development in the state because they don’t make proper use of funds from the Centre. Taking an indirect dig at Modi, Singh said that ‘some BJP leaders go to extent of using foul language against Congress leaders and CMs for gaining power’. British royals visit mobile crche for underprivileged children in Mumbai

Mumbai, Nov 9 (ANI): The British royal couple, Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall, visited a mobile crèche in Mumbai on Saturday where they met underprivileged children, their parents and staff members of the crèche. The children, whose parents make their ends meet by working as daily-wage labourers, were elated to see Prince Charles and his wife Camilla and had also prepared a puppet show to entertain the royal couple. The royals visited the classrooms and interacted with the teachers and parents as well. The royal couple, who is on nine-day-long India visit, would also pay their respects to the victims of the 26/11 attack at Mumbai's Taj Mahal hotel. Nov 9, 2013

Govt moves SC against Gauhati HC order on CBI

New Delhi, Nov 9 (ANI): The Central Government on Saturday filed an appeal in the Supreme Court against the Gauhati High Court ruling which called the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) unconstitutional. According to reports, the Centre has sought a stay on the order and has urged for an urgent hearing of its petition. In its judgment, the High Court has struck down the resolution through which the CBI was set up and held all its actions as unconstitutional. Nov 9, 2013

Gauhati HC order on CBI sparks controversy

New Delhi, Nov 9 (ANI): The Gauhati high court order which held Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) as 'unconstitutional' has sparked controversy. In its judgment, the High Court has also struck down the resolution through which the federal police was set up. BJP Vice-president Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi said that raising questions on the constitutional existence of the CBI is a serious issue.
