He met with stakeholders of various media houses and companies to discuss future policies and said that the government is open to communication and promised assistance in the rapid progress of this dynamic field. He said that there would be no delays in policy making on the part of the central government. Railway Minister holds pre budget meeting to discuss fare hike and FDI

New Delhi, June 19 (ANI): Railway Minister Sadanand Gowda held a meeting with officials in New Delhi to discuss about fare hike and Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) in railways. Gowda addressed all General Managers (GM), Divisional Railway Managers (DRM) and other senior officials on Thursday to finalise the way forward. Indian organization provides prosthetic limbs to amputees in Afghanistan

Kabul, June 19 (ANI): An Indian organisation gave amputees in Afghanistan a new lease of life by providing them with prosthetic limbs free of charge at a month-long camp in Kabul. A team of 25 artisans from Bhagwan Mahaveer Viklang Sahayata Samiti (BMVSS) - non-government organisation (NGO) that designs and distributes prosthetic limbs free of charge - provided the victims of landmines and other war-related atrocities with the prosthetic limbs, which is popularly known as the Jaipur foot. Yashwant Sinha released from jail in Jharkhand

New Delhi, June 19 (ANI): Senior BJP leader Yashwant Sinha was released from jail in Jharkhand on Thursday after he agreed to pay bail on Wednesday. Sinha, was arrested a fortnight ago for inciting a group of BJP workers to tie up an Electricity Board official to protest against a lengthy power crisis in his former constituency of Hazaribagh. He had agreed to apply for bail after senior leader LK Advani visited him in jail to persuade him to file a bail plea. Advani met Yashwant Sinha on Tuesday and asked him to continue his movement against power cuts in Hazaribagh after getting released from jail.
